Governor Sarah Palin as the Governor of Alaska and as a mother had to send her oldest son overseas and off to Iraq. He signed up on September 11, 2007 and was sent overseas on September 11, 2008 one year later. I have a son serving overseas and understand what it is like to say goodbye to your son. There is a lot of pride to go alone with the fear of the unknown.
